Anouschka is a singer
songwriter with blues and folk rock influences.
Her songs have received radio play all over the
world. Her album "My Kind of Heartbreak"charted
on the Americana Music Charts for 2 months, positioned
her on playlists next to the likes of Bonnie Raitt
and Bob Dylan, and attracted a new fan base in
blues and rock circles once her blues track "Man
Like You" shot to the Number two spot at
Midnight Special Blues Radio and her rock track
"House of My Father" got USA airplay
on rock radio.
She has worked with world class musicians such
as Allen Hinds (Patti Austin, Mary J. Blige),
Arno Luca (Rickie Lee Jones), Chuck Anthony (Back
Street Boys, Ace of Base, Roy Ayers) and JBJ (Beastie
Boys, Anita Baker, Chuck Mangione). She has a
fan base in Boston, Los Angeles, Sweden, and Germany.
People compare her vocals to Marianne Faithfull,
a female Tom Waits or Shaun Sullivan.
She has shared the stage with Adrienne (who opened
for Bonnie Raitt) and Claire Hamill (who toured
with Jethro Tull and had a song covered by Eva
Cassidy).
Anouschka graduated from Berklee College of Music,
released her first EP, studied voice with Ron
Anderson (Stevie Wonder, Natalie Imbruglia) and
took an additional diploma from the reknown Joanne
Barron and DW Brown Acting Studio in Santa Monica.
She has appeared in Danish and Swedish television
commercials, and American and Swedish plays. She
volunteers for
www.milelechildren.com-a scholarship foundation
for children in Kenya.
Currently, she is writing and arranging her third
album and making occasional appearances time permitting.
